Job Description:
- Proficient in developing creative and functional design plans, layouts, elevations, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
- Good working knowledge of SketchUp.
- Ability to create working drawing sets in accordance with FS standards.
- Manage multiple projects from the design stage through to the restaurant opening.
- Obtain necessary permits and variances for construction projects.
- Calculate and prepare required information for shop drawings and bill of materials.
- Supervise projects during construction, maintaining ongoing communication with the project manager and providing guidance and clarification.
- Excellent communication and time management skills are essential.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in architectural design and project supervision.
- Ability to independently interpret and apply National and Regional Building Codes, including performing comprehensive code analysis.
- Report directly to senior management on multiple projects.
- Supervise the permitting process, including making necessary revisions until permits are issued.
- Provide ongoing guidance to clients throughout construction, with weekly follow-ups and updates, until the store is ready for opening.
- Must live within 20 km of the office or be willing to relocate (this is not a remote job position).
