Architect at Kindrachuk Agrey Architecture

Founded 35 years ago, Kindrachuk Agrey Architecture is a Saskatoon-based full-service design, planning, and architectural consulting practice committed to service excellence, innovation, community-conscious and sustainable design. We are a team of dedicated design professionals (Architects, Interior Designers, and Technologists) working in a collaborative environment. Kindrachuk Agrey Architecture is currently accepting applications for an Architectural Technologist.

Responsibilities:

1. Works with the project lead to provide support to the project team. Provides leadership as a job captain when required.
2. Participates in establishment of project schedule and works with the project lead and project team to stay on track and within project budget.
3. Participates in coordination of sub-consultants.
4. Participates in and/or leads coordination of construction documents including Revit models, printed drawing packages, and specifications.
5. Works closely with the project team as a design develops to ensure constructability, material efficiency, and realization of design intent.
6. Works to integrate innovative building technology and sustainable initiatives throughout the design and construction process.

Qualifications:

1. A relevant post-secondary diploma or certificate.
2. Minimum of two years' experience in a relevant position.
3. Intermediate to advanced command of Revit.
4. Experience leading contract administration processes including site review.
5. Experience interpreting the current NBC, local bylaws, site requirements, and space requirements.

Skills Required:

1. Has a strong understanding of building sciences and demonstrates competency in the development and improvement of construction details, as well as expertise in overall construction document preparation, coordination, and review.
2. Demonstrates ability and willingness to follow sustainable building practices. Demonstrates willingness to further knowledge in the area of sustainable building and to innovate using this knowledge.
