Job summary

Brookfield Residential in Edmonton is seeking a Designer responsible for the design, drafting, and production tasks, coordinating permit and architectural approvals, and supporting new product development as demand dictates.

You will set up job files, manage CAD/REVIT projects, review drawings for compliance, liaise with sales and construction, and ensure timely production while maintaining up-to-date engineering.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Architectural Technologies, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of building code and government requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Effective communication with customers and partners.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.
• Detail oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Set up individual job files and CAD/REVIT project files.
• Apply for architectural approvals and building permits.
• Coordinate changes with sales, construction and trade partners.
• Review drawings against engineering, roof and floor layouts.
• Produce master job lists and tender drawings.
• Maintain current engineering for production.
• Provide training and maintain documentation.
