Job summary

Merrick Canada is seeking an Architect II to support design services in our Ottawa, Ontario office. You will work within a multidisciplinary team on Life Sciences, Nuclear, and National Security projects, developing plans and details under senior architects.

The position requires an accredited architecture degree and strong BIM CAD proficiency. Requirements include four+ years of experience, knowledge of building codes, and eligibility for Canadian citizenship or permanent residency with

Qualifications

• Professional architecture degree CACB-certified suitable for licensure in Ontario.
• Minimum of four years' experience.
• Working knowledge of current building codes and heavy commercial, institutional, and industrial construction.
• Knowledgeable in BIM, REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Willing to travel and hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency with Reliability clearance.
• Possess or be able to obtain Government of Canada Secret level clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support architectural design solutions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Interact with clients to determine project requirements.
• Model complex facilities and produce plans, details, and specifications.
• Perform construction site inspections and ensure design compliance.
• Collaborate with design and construction professionals to deliver high-integrity building solutions.
