Job summary

WSP is seeking an Archaeology Lead in Ontario to guide a high‑performing team and shape project delivery at a strategic level. You will influence growth, mentor staff, and strengthen client relationships while delivering quality archaeological services across Ontario.

You will work closely with senior leaders to foster collaboration, technical excellence, and accountability, contributing to responsible development and community outcomes within the Earth & Environment practice.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead archaeology teams or programs.
• Strong knowledge of field methods and reporting standards in archaeology.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and contribute to proposals.
• Experience developing high-performing teams through coaching and mentorship.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Sound business sense aligning delivery with financial objectives.
• Willingness to travel as required for projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of archaeology professionals.
• Drive growth and development of the Archaeology Team with leaders and experts.
• Build and strengthen client relationships while supporting business development.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality archaeological projects, ensuring methodological excellence.
• Coordinate workloads for efficient project execution and operations.
• Champion recruitment, performance development, and succession planning.
• Promote health and safety across project delivery.
• Support business objectives, budgeting, and planning within Earth & Environment.
