Job summary

Wright Tree Service of Canada is seeking a Labourer to join our field crew in a full-time, on-site capacity. You will support arborists, load materials, and help maintain safe, efficient worksites while learning hands-on arboriculture practices.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid Class 5 license with minimal demerits, and be willing to pass drug screening. First Aid/CPR and a strong work ethic are required, with long hours and on-call rotations possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with minimal demerits.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
• Willingness to work long hours, overtime and on-call rotations.
• Basic knowledge of trees is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep the worksite clean and organized by removing fallen tree debris.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris.
• Set up tools and equipment for arborists to use.
• Help arborists assess tree health and structure, gather data.
• Perform physically demanding labor in various weather conditions.
• Set up barriers or signs to keep areas safe.
• Support safe work practices and a positive team environment.
• Other duties as required.
