Job summary

Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada Limited is seeking an experienced arborist to survey and assess designated sites, prepare contracts and tenders, and apply lawn care products.

You will examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease, plant and move trees, and perform tree removal and climbing tasks. The role requires travel, a valid driver’s license, and strong teamwork with attention to safety and detail.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate required.
• 3–5 years of experience in arboriculture or related field.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Survey and assess designated sites
• Prepare contracts and tenders
• Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products
• Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease
• Plant and move trees
• Tree removal
• Operate chainsaw to fell, delimb and buck trees
• Conduct sales transactions
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
