Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Noisy. Outdoors. All weather conditions. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Plan the incorporation of landscape structures. Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning. Manage landscaping projects. Prepare proposals. Survey and assess designated sites. Prepare contracts and tenders. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions. Assess the health of lawns. Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease. Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses and other purposes. Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens. Plant and move trees. Tree removal. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence.
