Job description

Join our team as an AR & Treasury Analyst (Accounting Technician)! In this role you’ll be performing monthly AR and cash reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and analyzing and resolving variances. Performing month-end procedures, providing guidance to clinics and supporting audits and special projects.

We are ideally seeking a candidate located in Calgary, Alberta.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Preparing monthly outstanding AR and cash reconciliation reports for clinics.
• Collaborating with clinics on outstanding issues, providing guidance and assistance.
• Booking monthly revenue and cash journal entries.
• Investigating variances between the point of sale and financial system.
• Completing bank reconciliations (approximately 30 bank accounts) and following up on outstanding items.
• Performing a variety of month-end procedures, including preparing or approving manual journal entries and preparing working papers.
• Analyzing and reconciling variances between the general ledger, sub-ledgers and systems.
• Providing guidance, coaching and support to clinics.
• Assisting with audits, special projects, and ad hoc projects as required

As the Successful Candidate You Have :

• A minimum of 1-3 years of accounting or accounts receivable experience
• 1-2 years experience with AR reconciliations and bank reconciliations
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel
• Experience in a high-volume environment with an understanding of accounting concepts
• Post-secondary Accounting related diploma / certificate is considered an asset
• Working knowledge of ERP Systems (NetSuite would be considered an asset)
• Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and communication skills
• Bilingualism (French / English) is considered an asset
