Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Richmond Hill, Ontario, is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Revenue Accountant with at least 2 years of experience. You will reconcile cash receipts, process deductions, apply payments, and respond to inquiries while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

You will also perform revenue variance analysis, reconcile EDI data, prepare revenue journals, and support month-end close. Strong Excel and ERP experience are required, along with a degree in accounting or related field.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or revenue accounting.
• Experience with EDI transactions (EDI 852 experience is an asset).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close procedures.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS).

Responsibilities

• Reconcile cash receipts with EDI transactions and investigate variances.
• Create, post customer deductions with approvals per policy.
• Post customer payments (EFT, ACH, cheque) timely.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve billing, payment, and EDI discrepancies.
• Manage accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Prepare and post revenue journal entries and reconcile revenue accounts.
