Position Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time entry-level Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Specialist to support our accounting department. The AR/AP Clerk will assist with processing invoices, payments, receipts and maintaining accurate financial records.

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time entry-level Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Specialist to support our accounting department. The AR/AP Clerk will assist with processing invoices, payments, receipts and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Assist with reviewing and processing vendor invoices.
  • Enter invoice data into the accounting system.
  • Help prepare weekly payment runs.
  • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and resolve discrepancies.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Support the creation and distribution of customer invoices.
  • Apply incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
  • Assist in monitoring aging reports and sending payment reminders.
  • Address customer billing questions professionally and promptly.

Administrative & General Support

  • Maintain accurate and organized digital files.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and month-end tasks as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Must reside in the Greater Vancouver area in British Columbia
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and a basic understanding of accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
