The ideal candidate has a minimum of one year experience in an aquatic environment and holds the required certifications; the role includes safety supervision and minor maintenance, with a 15-hour work week and a $36.39 hourly rate

Qualifications

  • Current National Lifeguard Award (Pool Option).
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR C/AED.
  • Lifesaving Swim Instructor certification.
  • A minimum of 528 hours lifeguarding and/or swim instruction experience.
  • Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Provides lifeguarding duties at aquatic functions.
  • Provides instruction, supervision and ensures safety for swimming and other aquatic programs.
  • Ensure that all necessary equipment is in good working order and ready for immediate or emergency use.
  • In advance, prepare lesson plans and evaluations.
  • Monitors and records pool conditions when necessary.
