Job summary

The City of Delta is seeking reliable Aquafit Instructors to work across Delta’s recreation facilities, offering Shallow Water, Deep Water, Low Impact, Gentle Fit, Aqua Mat, and Aquatic Personal Trainer sessions. Candidates must hold current BCRPA or CALA registration and be certified in First Aid and CPR, with additional fitness certifications considered an asset.

Successful applicants should be available afternoons, evenings, and weekends and prepared to demonstrate skills during screening.

Qualifications

• Possess current BCRPA registration or CALA registration accepted for Aquatic Instructors.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Additional training in Older Adult, Osteofit, Pre-Post Natal, Aqua Mat, and Adaptive Fitness is an asset.
• Availability to work afternoons, evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to demonstrate skills as part of screening.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Shallow Water Aquafit, Deep Water Aquafit, Low Impact Aquafit, and Gentle Fit classes.
• Deliver Aquafit programs at Delta recreation facilities and Aquatic Personal Trainer sessions.
• Ensure participant safety and adapt exercises for different ability levels.
• Participate in screening demonstrations and ongoing staff development.

• Aqua Mat
• Aquatic Personal Trainers

Qualifications

• Possess current BCRPA registration or equivalent (CALA certification and registration will be accepted for Aquatic Instructors)

The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $35.00 - $39.00 per hour + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays and benefits.
