Job summary

Steele Auto Group is seeking an Apprentice Technician for Humber Ford in Corner Brook, NL. This role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and a pathway to Red Seal certification as you diagnose and repair automotive systems.

You will inspect components, test performance to manufacturer specs, advise customers on needed repairs, and document work performed. A clean-shaven requirement for respirator use is noted with accommodations available.

Humber Ford is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our growing team!

Qualifications:

• Passionate about the automotive industry
• Well organized, possess a good work ethic and a positive attitude
• Hard working, self-motivated and have excellent time management skills
• Have a valid driver’s license and be able to provide an acceptable driver’s abstract
• Have a valid Motor Vehicle Inspection License
• Must be Red Seal Certified

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems as required
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements
• Diagnose faults and confirm findings with supervisor
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
• Facial hair will interfere with the ability to achieve a proper seal on CSA-approved respirators; therefore, it is a requirement that staff must be clean-shaven. If you are unable to maintain a clean shave where the respirator seals to the face for any reason, please inform us in the form of a request for accommodation.
