Volkswagen MidTown Toronto, part of The Humberview Group, is seeking an Apprentice Technician in Toronto to grow your skills in a hands-on environment and join a supportive team.

You will perform routine maintenance under supervision, gain exposure to diagnostics and evolving automotive technologies, with opportunities across 20 stores and 18 brands.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive apprenticeship experience.
• Valid G driver’s license.
• Strong aptitude for technical/mechanical repairs.
• Good time management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Dealership experience is a plus.
• Able to work well with a team.
• Desire to achieve the very best in customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance services and repairs per manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and assist in repairs.
• Verify warranty eligibility and ensure vehicles qualify for warranty coverage prior to performing warranty repairs.
• Inspect vehicles to identify additional maintenance, safety, or repair requirements.
• Perform road tests using safe driving standards.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and advisors for accurate diagnostics and high quality service.

As an Apprentice Technician, you will perform routine maintenance and repair work under the guidance of experienced technicians while continuing to build your knowledge and expertise. This role is designed for individuals working toward becoming highly skilled technical specialists, with exposure to advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and evolving automotive technologies.

Compensation: $20 to $28 per hour, depending on experience.

What You’ll Do
