Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover Brampton is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our dealership team. You will perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs on customer and dealership vehicles, with hands-on training from experienced leaders.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of relevant experience, a post-secondary diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license. We offer competitive pay, benefits and opportunities for career growth within the Zanchin Automotive Group.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years proven experience as a Lube/Tire Apprentice Technician.
• Post Secondary School diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Driver's License with clean record.

Responsibilities

• perform basic vehicle care and maintenance including oil change, lubrication work, filter replacement, and tire rotation/replacement
• communicate with the Service Advisor and Shop Foreman to provide updates regarding the vehicle
• document all vehicle repair and maintenance performed on the repair order
• road test vehicles, as required

The expected salary or pay rate for this role is from $20.00 per hour to $26.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

About the opportunity…

As an integral part of the "we can do that" operation, this position is responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair on customer and dealership vehicles, while developing practical skills. Specifically:

• perform basic vehicale care and maintenance, including oil change, lubrication work, filter replacement, and tire rotation/replacement
• communicate with the Service Advisor and Shop Foreman to provide updates regarding the vehicle
• document all vehicle repair and maintenance performed, on the repair order
• road tests vehicles, as required

Requirements

About you…

Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience performing vehicle maintenance, including:

• 1 to 3 years proven experience as a Lube/Tire Apprentice Technician
• Post Secondary School diploma, or equivalent experience
• ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
• Driver's License and clean Drivers Abstract
• ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
