Job summary

OCL Group Inc. in Canada is seeking an Apprentice Shop Welder to join our production team. The role focuses on shop fabrication, with emphasis on safety, accuracy and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is in the early years of an apprenticeship, holds a clean drivers abstract, and has experience with SMAW and FCAW welding methods. Willingness to travel to in-town and out-of-town sites is required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2nd year apprenticeship with welding shop experience.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team with strong attention to detail.
• CWB All-Position SMAW and FCAW qualifications.
• Clean drivers abstract is required; willing to drive as needed.
• Must be willing to work both in town and out of town.
• Reliable transportation and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean shop environment.
• Assist with welding tasks and operate in a fast-paced fabrication setting.
• Collaborate with team to complete projects efficiently and safely.
• Perform routine equipment checks and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Apprentice Shop Welder

Advanced Foundations Inc. is seeking a skilled apprentice welder to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shop fabrication, attention to detail with the ability to take direction. This role involves working in a fast-paced shop environment ensuring quality standards. Must possess a positive attitude, and the ability to work closely with others.

Duties

• Approach all tasks with a strong safety mindset
• Drive a truck with a trailer
• Take direction and cooperate to ensure piles are plumb and in the proper alignment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during installations or operations.

Skills & Requirements:

• Clean drivers abstract.
• Proven experience in a fabrication shop.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay:

$24.00 - $32.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
