Job summary

Weins Auto Group in Ontario is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join Thornhill Toyota’s team. You will perform basic maintenance and repairs, follow repair orders, and coordinate with foreman for additional tasks.

This is an entry-to-mid level role with opportunities to grow within the organization. Ideal candidates hold a valid Ontario driver’s license and are Registered Apprentices in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or have a High School diploma equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license.
  • Registered Apprentice Motor Vehicle Mechanic.
  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Perform services based on general maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Complete tasks described in repair orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Consult shop foreman or service advisors if additional work is required.
  • Use appropriate tools and test equipment and report faulty equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge by reading technical publications.
  • Ensure shop is clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform services based on general maintenance and minor repairs.

  • Contact the shop foreman and/or service advisors if additional work is required.
  • Use appropriate tools, test equipment, and report defective or poorly functioning equipment to the supervisor.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Ensure that the shop is clean and tidy.
  • Perform other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.
Qualifications:
  • A valid Ontario Driver's License
  • Registered Apprentice Motor Vehicle Mechanic
  • Secondary School or High School Diploma Equivalent
