Compensation : Up to $41.40 / hour

Position Overview :

As an Apprentice Truck & Trailer Technician, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience working alongside skilled professionals to repair and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This is your chance to learn the ins and outs of the trade, while receiving training and mentorship to develop your skills and build a successful career in the industry. Job Duties :

  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers under the guidance of experienced technicians
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire replacements
  • Help troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to support repairs and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Learn and follow safety protocols while working in a workshop environment
  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure repairs are completed on time
  • Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge for career advancement
  • Assist with inventory management and parts ordering as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Valid driver's license (Class 5 or higher)
  • A strong interest in heavy-duty trucks and trailers, with a passion for learning the trade
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions from experienced technicians
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and customers
  • Willingness to attend training and develop skills to become a certified technician
