Job summary

WesTower Communications Ltd. is seeking a skilled electrician to read drawings and electrical codes to plan wiring layouts for new or existing installations in the Thorsby/Telfordville area of Alberta.

You will install and repair lighting fixtures and distribution equipment, while working from heights and in confined spaces as required. The role demands strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a commitment to safe workmanship.

Qualifications

• Safety certifications CSTS-09 and WHMIS 2015 required.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required.
• First Aid training considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specs to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
• Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures, electrical control, and distribution equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
• Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reaching.
• Ability to conduct work in confined spaces, on ladders and/or aerial platforms, and comfortable working from heights.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• High attention to detail, work productively, and take pride in workmanship (perform tasks correctly).
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
