Job summary

Tronosjet Maintenance seeks a skilled CNC machinist to produce high-precision components from engineering drawings and process instructions. You will set up and troubleshoot multi-axis machines, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency, and documenting deviations.

Ideal candidates have experience with multi-axis setups, aerospace familiarity, and the ability to work in a team to meet tight tolerances and production targets in a Canadian facility. Knowledge of GD&T and blueprints is essential.

Qualifications

  • Diploma from a technical college or equivalent preferred.
  • Aviation/aerospace experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work to tight tolerances and GD&T specifications with minimal non-conformance.
  • Experience with setup and operation of multi-axis machines.
  • Capable of performing routine maintenance on equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machining and turning centers in prototype and production environments.
  • Maintain and repair industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics and machining procedures.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets.
  • Refine FAI processes and optimize program and machine settings.
  • Maintain detailed repair, non-conformance reports, and inspection records.

Job description

Tronosjet is looking for individuals who are able to produce high precision components using various machine tools in accordance with engineering documents, blueprints, and detailed process instructions with the ability to set-up and trouble shoot. Assuring all machines are operated in the most efficient and safe manner.

Tasks/Duties:
  • Efficiently operate CNC machining and turning centers per all company, safety, quality and production lines.
  • Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures.
  • Evaluate procedures, and recommend changes or modification for improved quality and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets.
  • Assuring FAI process refinement including optimization adjustments of program and machine.
  • Maintain detailed repair, non-conformance reports, and inspection and certification records to pertaining to his/her work are all compliant.
Skills Required:
  • Set-up & operation of CNC machinery in a prototype and production environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Manufacture components to exacting quality and productivity expectations.
  • Reading text, writing, and oral communications.
  • Ability to set up machines for machining.
  • Ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments. Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
Experience Required:
  • Preference for some experience with a technical college diploma or equivalent.
  • Aviation/aerospace experience is a definite asset.
  • Ability to consistently work to tight tolerance and GDT specifications with minimal non-conformance.
  • Experience with setup and operation of multi axis machines.
  • Capable of performing routine maintenance on equipment.
  • 5 axis experience preferred.
