Job summary

Skyservice in Dorval, QC is seeking an apprentice avionics technician to develop skills while supporting licensed technicians on business jets. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with various trades, under supervision.

Training and safety are emphasized throughout the program. You will join a team focused on safety, service excellence, and career development, with competitive pay, day shifts, and broad benefits.

Qualifications

  • Working towards becoming a “E” licensed Avionics Technician.
  • Previous apprentice related experience is an asset.
  • Background in working on Business Aircraft types, an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Must be attentive to detail.
  • Team oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Developing your skills as an apprentice by troubleshooting electrical systems/components, installing, modifying and repairing aircraft avionics, as contracted by the customer, with the support of experienced Avionics Technicians;
  • Supporting license technicians during various maintenance activity on aircrafts;
  • Accomplish maintenance under technicians supervision;
  • Interact and work cooperatively with other trade personnel;
  • Management and Customer Representatives while performing work in order to meet project directives;
  • Attend training courses as directed;
  • Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
