Job summary

Air Inuit Ltd. is seeking an Apprentice Avionics to join its Northern Quebec operations.

You will support the aircraft maintenance team under senior engineers to perform avionic repairs and line maintenance, contributing to safety and performance of the fleet. The role requires a diploma in Aircraft Avionics or equivalent, a willingness to work in remote locations, and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Aircraft Avionics Engineer college diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Air Inuit Maintenance and policies is an asset.
• General knowledge of Air Inuit's Fleet.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in remote locations and adapt to varying weather conditions.
• Eager to learn, team player, and a passion for aviation.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces and stand for long periods.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft and base tasks, as they are assigned by an authorized signatory.
• Maintain AMO facilities as directed.
• Assist in routine inspections, avionics repairs, and maintenance of aircraft systems and components.
• Help maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Work alongside seasoned engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in aviation technology and practices.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks in line with the Department’s operational needs.

Role Overview

As an Apprentice Avionics, you will board on an exciting journey to develop your skills and knowledge in the aviation industry. This role is designed for enthusiastic individuals eager to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will play a crucial role in supporting our aircraft maintenance team, ensuring our fleet remains at the pinnacle of safety and performance. Under supervision of the Senior Base Engineer, the Base Engineer and the Senior Avionics Engineer you will carry-out avionic repairs and line maintenance on Air Inuit’s fleet.

• Positions available for day and night shifts based on 3 week on/off rotation.
• Experience the beauty and adventure of Northern Quebec. Accommodations, meals, uniforms and travel between Montreal and work location are provided.

Compensation

• Compensation and benefits are determined in accordance with corporate policy.
• Hourly wage starting at $30.59
