Job description

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. You are currently registered as an apprentice in the province of Ontario.

We are looking for automotive technicians who can work independently as well as collaboratively with peers. Our full-service facility aims to create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including:

  • Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
  • Tire repair and replacement
  • Car heating and air conditioning
  • Steering and suspension repairs
  • Belt and hose replacements
  • Radiator and engine cooling system services
  • Battery, starting, and charging system repairs
  • Brake repairs
  • Muffler and exhaust system services
  • Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

  • Ability to repair vehicles independently and work well in a team environment
  • High personal productivity
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
  • Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
  • Provincial Certificate of Qualification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanners and tools preferred)
  • Ability to service both import and domestic vehicles

Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
