Job description

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. You are currently registered as an apprentice in the province of Ontario.

We are looking for automotive technicians that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including:

  1. Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
  2. Tires and tire repair
  3. Car heating and air conditioning
  4. Steering and suspension
  5. Belts and hoses
  6. Radiator and engine cooling systems
  7. Batteries, starting and charging
  8. Brake repair
  9. Oil services
  10. Check engine light
  11. Mufflers and exhaust services
  12. Visual safety and courtesy inspections
Qualifications
  1. Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
  2. Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics
  3. Track record of high personal productivity
  4. Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
  5. Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
  6. Provincial Certificate of Qualification
  7. Valid driver’s license
  8. Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)
  9. Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
