Job summary

Starlink Aviation in Dorval, QC is seeking an aircraft maintenance technician to perform scheduled maintenance under the director of maintenance, release maintenance on aircraft, and address defects reported by crew after flights.

The role requires an active Transport Canada AME license or 70% completion with logbook, bilingual English/French communication, and the ability to work in a team with safety training records kept up to date.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in or have an approved Transport Canada AME license with logbook at least 70% complete.
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and operations.
  • Ability to follow aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications.
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
  • Eligible for RAIC identity card.
  • Valid driving license class 5.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance tasks scheduled by the coordinator.
  • Perform aircraft maintenance release and support rectifying deficiencies noted during routine inspections or by crew after a flight.
  • Keep technical and health/safety training records up to date.

Job description

Your role

Under the responsibility of the director of maintenance, your role will be to perform the maintenance tasks scheduled by your coordinator. You will also need to perform the aircraft maintenance release and support rectifying deficiencies noted during routine inspections or reported by a crew after a flight while keeping your technical and health/safety training records up to date.

Requirements
  • In progress of a valid Transport Canada AME license, or having the logbook at 70% completed at the minimum;
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and operations;
  • Perform duties according to aircraft specifications and maintenance manuals;
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status;
  • Eligible for obtaining an identity card for restricted areas (RAIC);
  • Driving License class 5

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team;
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (written and spoken);
