What you'll do
  • Solution Development: Review customer requirements, RFQs, and operational challenges to develop technically sound and commercially competitive equipment proposals aligned with project schedules and customer needs.
  • Equipment Selection: Perform detailed pump, valve, and piping system selections based on technical specifications and customer operational requirements, ensuring optimal fit and performance.
  • Customer & Sales Collaboration: Partner closely with capital and aftermarket sales teams to understand customer problems, maintain prompt communication, and build strong relationships that adapt to changing market demands.
  • Proposal Management: Assemble comprehensive technical and commercial proposal packages, including evaluation of sourcing and delivery options, ensuring accuracy in project costing and timely updates in sales pipeline systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical assistance to customers and frontline sales teams, reviewing specifications for compliance and documenting technical exceptions where necessary.
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel across Canada to meet with end users and support project delivery, reflecting the coast-to-coast nature of the mining industry.

What you'll bring
Must-haves:
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical, Process, Metallurgical required
  • Proven ability to review and interpret technical specifications and develop technical-commercial proposals
  • Customer-facing experience with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of equipment selection processes, especially pumps, valves, and hydraulic systems
Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience in mining, mineral processing, or industrial equipment industries
  • Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Prior experience in sales support or manufacturing environments
  • Understanding of sourcing, delivery logistics, and project scheduling considerations

Compensation Range: $80,000 to $93,000 CAD(Depending on experience)
