The City of Abbotsford’s Information Technology Department is seeking an IT professional with proven development skills and a self-driven “can-do attitude” looking to work in a fast-paced team as an Applications Analyst. Reporting to the IT Applications Manager, you will develop and modify business applications to deliver innovative solutions across City departments.
The City is implementing a digital strategy, including AI tools for our internal and external processes. You will be part of the team that delivers and supports these modern technologies which aim to provide an excellent experience for users underpinned by strong project delivery and efficient IT operational practices.
You will have considerable customer service, problem solving, programming and business analysis knowledge and experience along with a strong work ethic. You will also have a good understanding of client-server and web-based application models as well as experience with Oracle PL/SQL and MSSQL. Working experience in the following software products and platforms is also considered an asset:
A core part of your role will include interacting with your customers in City departments as you collaborate to deliver full life cycle implementations and application support services and wiliness to participate in after-hours support/maintenance as required.

This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $44.11 to $51.86.
