Job summary

Scintica in London, Ontario, a rapid-growth private company serving universities and pharmaceutical companies worldwide, seeks a proactive specialist to demonstrate optical bioluminescence/fluorescence and DEXA systems, generate leads, and support orders across international markets.

You will follow up with prospects, expand applications, manage CRM, assist with quotes and training, participate in trade shows, and train distributors, with up to 50% travel and flexibility for worldwide time zones.

Qualifications

  • Degree in life sciences, biomedical science, cellular/molecular biology, engineering, or similar.
  • Master’s degree in biomedical sciences or engineering would be an asset.
  • Experience in small animal imaging and data analysis is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Legal status to travel to the United States or work in the United States if residing in the US.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site and virtual demonstrations of optical bioluminescence/fluorescence and DEXA systems for prospective customers across biological models.
  • Support marketing and sales with lead generation content (email campaigns, webinars, social media).
  • Assist in the selling process with the Senior Product Manager and Territory Sales Managers to secure orders.
  • Follow up with prospects to assess research needs and propose technical solutions.
  • Identify prospective customers through publications databases, institutional websites, referrals, and networks.
  • Develop knowledge of system operations and applications to meet customer needs.
  • Understand competitive landscape to position imaging solutions effectively.
  • Issue quotes, complete training reports, document CRM interactions, create opportunities, and schedule follow-ups.
  • Conduct on-site installations and training for optical and DEXA systems.
  • Provide post-installation support remotely or at training facilities as required.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and workshops; support international distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high quality on-site and virtual demonstrations of our optical bioluminescence/fluorescence system and DEXA system for prospective customers on cardiac, cancer, abdominal, and developmental biology preclinical models.
  • Support the marketing and sales team on lead generation strategies by assisting with content for outbound campaigns and inbound marketing initiatives (email campaigns, educational webinars, social media campaigns).
  • Assist in the selling process by working directly with the Senior Product Manager, relevant Territory Sales Managers, and administrative staff as required to secure orders.
  • Follow-up with prospective customers to assess their research needs for their lab and determine appropriate technical solutions.
  • Utilize all available means to identify prospective customers for various product solutions, including publications databases such as PubMed, institutional websites, customer referrals, social networks, etc.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of optical and DEXA system operations and workflow and develop applications to best meet customer needs.
  • Gain an understanding of the competitive landscape and how to position our imaging solutions to succeed in winning high value sales.
  • Issue quotes, complete demonstration/training reports, document customer interactions in the company customer relationship management (CRM) software platform, create opportunities and schedule appropriate follow up.
  • Conduct onsite installations and training as required for our optical and DEXA systems.
  • Provide post-installation application support, either at the customer site, via videoconference or at centralized training facilities, as required.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences and workshops as required.
  • Support international distributors when required.
  • Foster and nurture strong customer relationships.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in the life sciences, biomedical science, cellular/molecular biology, engineering, or similar.
  • A master’s degree in biomedical sciences or engineering would be an asset
  • Experience in small animal imaging and data analysis
  • Experience in preclinical optical and DEXA imaging would be an asset
  • Excellent knowledge in mouse anatomy and physiology
  • Knowledge in cardiology, oncology, developmental biology, and neurobiology would be an asset
  • Experience with small animal practices and techniques – Animal Care and Handling, including anesthesia
  • Experience in medical software and knowledge in imaging applications is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship building skills
  • Effective presentation skills to delivery complex information confidently, to a wide range of
  • Legal status to travel to the United States, if residing in Canada or legal status to work in the United States, if residing in the US
  • A commitment to travel up to 50% of the time (when/were permitted)
  • Must be able to adjust working hours, to accommodate customers world-wide in different time zones
  • Valid passport and drivers’ license.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based or hybrid role, with frequent travel for on-site demonstrations and customer installations/support
  • May require extended and evening hours during peak travel periods, revolving around the academic calendar.
