Ready to solve complex problems and make application services smarter?
We’re looking for a hands‑on Applications Engineer to join a team responsible for keeping critical business applications running securely, reliably and efficiently.
This is a senior technical support and engineering role where you’ll go beyond fixing immediate issues. You’ll investigate complex problems, get to the root cause, implement lasting solutions and look for smarter ways to manage and improve application services.
You’ll be working across enterprise applications, application servers, middleware, APIs and the infrastructure that supports them, collaborating with teams across infrastructure, networking and security.
With a growing focus on automation, simplification and AI, this is an opportunity to help shape how application services are supported and improved, rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
Own complex technical issues: Act as a Tier 3 escalation point, taking challenging application problems from investigation through to resolution.
Keep applications running: Support and administer business-critical enterprise applications, application servers and middleware across Linux and Windows environments.
Get to the root cause: Use logs, monitoring and performance data to diagnose issues, eliminate recurring problems and implement permanent fixes.
Connect the dots: Troubleshoot APIs, integrations, database connectivity, authentication and secure communications between applications and infrastructure.
Automate the everyday: Use scripting and automation to reduce manual tasks, improve consistency and make operational support more efficient.
Improve reliability and security: Support application deployments, upgrades, patching, monitoring and performance improvements.
Explore AI‑driven improvements: Bring an interest in AI and new ways of working to help simplify operations and make application support more proactive.
Share your expertise: Work closely with other technical teams, contribute to standards and documentation, and help develop the skills of more junior engineers.
We’re looking for someone with strong hands‑on application engineering experience who enjoys solving problems, understanding how systems fit together and finding better ways to do things.
You don’t need to have worked with every technology listed, but experience with some of the following would be beneficial:
