MaxSys Staffing & Consulting is seeking an Intermediate Software Developer (Oracle APEX / Tableau / SQL) to support a secure Business Intelligence application development project within the Public Sector. This role focuses on delivering data-driven web applications and dashboards in a high-security environment.

About the Role:

You’ll work closely with a collaborative development team to design, build, and support business intelligence applications and dashboards. This position requires hands-on development using Oracle APEX, SQL, and Tableau, with a focus on delivering high-quality, secure solutions that drive decision-making processes.

• Duration: Contract for one (1) year, with four (4) optional one-year extensions
• Security Clearance: Secret (mandatory)

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement full-stack application features, integrating RESTful APIs and web services.
• Design and develop relational database schemas, optimize SQL queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visual analytics using Tableau Software.
• Conduct comprehensive testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, to ensure performance and security.
• Document application workflows, technical architecture, and development processes.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and technical support.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and project stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot application issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Stay informed on best practices and emerging technologies in web and BI application development.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Active Secret Security Clearance (must be valid at the time of application).
• Minimum of five (5) years (60 months) of experience performing full-cycle application development, including dashboard creation.
• At least six (6) months of recent experience developing full-stack web applications and dashboards using Oracle APEX, SQL, and Tableau.
• Proven experience delivering secure, enterprise-grade applications in structured environments.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL optimization, and data visualization.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within high-security, structured environments.
