The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager of the Business Analysis Community of Practice within the IT Department, the Application Business Analyst supports Product Owners by analyzing requirements and clarifying the impact of change requests in the ALM system. The role involves assisting with processes, reporting, investigation, analysis, design, development, and testing for projects and system updates of low-to-medium complexity. The analyst actively participates in improving the Business Analysis Playbook and identifies efficiency opportunities.

How you will contribute:

• Assess gaps and impacts between current and future business states and develop technical requirements for change requests in the ALM system.
• Recommend controls and improve procedures by identifying problems.
• Define project requirements through analysis and planning activities.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report on status.
• Maintain system protocols and document requirements and changes.
• Support QA and development teams with requirements and documentation.
• Use tools like MS SQL and Optimus queries for data analytics and research.
• Engage stakeholders and obtain necessary approvals for delivery.
• Follow policies to meet AML requirements when applicable.
• Support the completion of Requirements Traceability Matrix.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience with SDLC delivery, especially in agile and scrum methodologies.
• 1-2 years’ experience with First National systems is an asset.
• Experience with modelling tools like MS Visio.
• Experience with analytical tools like MS SQL and Power BI.
• Strong analytical, logical, and business knowledge.
