Job summary

HRB is seeking a Senior Application Support / Systems Engineer to join our Toronto operations. You will monitor and maintain application health, configure observability and alerting, and triage production incidents in Kubernetes-based environments.

Ideal candidates bring strong experience in distributed systems, CI/CD, incident management, and production troubleshooting, with hands-on skills in Grafana, Prometheus, and cloud platforms such as GCP.

Application Support Engineer/Systems Engineer

• Description & Required Skills

  • Seeking a Senior Application Support / Systems Engineer.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining application health, configuring observability and alerting solutions, triaging production incidents, troubleshooting performance and latency issues, and supporting Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Candidates should have strong experience with application support, dist ributed systems, monitoring/observability tools, CI/CD processes, incident management, and production troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, distributed tracing, and cloud-based applications is required.

• Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting large-scale retail or eCommerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar monitoring tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP Mandatory) and microservices architectures.
