Job summary

Best Buy Canada is hiring an Appliance Repair Technician at our Brampton distribution center. You will diagnose and repair major appliances, ensure high quality workmanship, and maintain accurate service records while delivering excellent customer service.

Requires Grade 12 diploma, Appliance Repair Diploma a plus, gas handling certification a plus, and 2+ years of hands-on repair experience. Strong communication and computer skills, with teamwork to support Parts and service teams.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required.
• Appliance Repair Diploma from a recognized technical college is an asset.
• Certification in gas handling and experience repairing gas appliances is an asset.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting major appliances, with strong technical knowledge of appliance repair practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Strong computer skills with a high level of detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely diagnosis and identify parts required, referencing manuals, schematics and websites.
• Coordinate with the Parts Team to obtain required components, replace defective parts, and return failed components as required.
• Complete and maintain accurate paperwork and documentation, service records, and system data entries in a timely and organized manner.
• Deliver high-quality repairs with a strong first-time completion rate while minimizing errors, rework, and repair turnaround times.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional approach in all interactions.
