Job summary

Beyond Bilingual Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site service, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. The role includes travel to client sites, diagnosing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and gas issues, and providing high-quality customer support.

Work hours are Monday–Friday with overtime and on-call rotation. The position offers a competitive hourly wage, company vehicle, and full benefits after a short probation

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on service in commercial kitchen equipment or related technical field.
• G2 Gas Fitter certification is mandatory.
• Experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment is preferred.
• Appliance Technician certification considered.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, plumbing and gas systems.
• DEP in Electromechanics or related diploma is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within service territory.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• On-call overtime availability.

• Diagnose equipment problems and perform repairs.

Field Service Technician

Full-time, Permanent

Location

Remote – Winnipeg, MB (Candidates can live in Winnipeg or within approximately 45 minutes outside the territory)

Hours

Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM + Overtime- depends they can be on call: time and halfWeekends: every 6 weeks

Base Salary

$24 – $40.21/hour- this includes premiumsIncrease after 3 months.

Overtime paid daily

after 8 hours (1.5x for first 4 OT hours, 2x after that)

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on technical service, maintenance or repair experience within commercial kitchen equipment, commercial coffee machines/espresso machines, food-service equipment, appliance repair, electromechanical equipment or a closely related technical service environment.
• G2 Gas Fitter certification/ticket is mandatory.
• Previous experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment is highly desirable.
• Candidates with an Appliance Technician certification and strong experience working within a fast-paced appliance service or repair environment will also be considered.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting capabilities involving electrical, mechanical, plumbing and gas systems.
• DEP in Electromechanics, or a diploma/certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, Appliance Service/Repair or a related technical discipline, is an asset.
• Equivalent hands-on technical experience will also be considered.
• Ability to diagnose equipment problems and perform repairs, adjustments, alignments and calibrations.
• Comfortable working independently and travelling throughout an assigned service territory.
• Strong customer-service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver's licence with an excellent driving record.
• Willing and able to travel for technical training as required.
• Available for overtime and participation in the on-call rotation.
