Job summary

Role Description:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Define API architecture standards, integration patterns, and development best practices
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and Kubernetes (EKS)
• Lead the adoption of event-driven architectures using Kafka and messaging platforms
• Implement and manage API gateways and policies using Apigee
• Drive service-to-service communication and governance using TSB (Tetrate Service Bridge) and service mesh technologies
• Collaborate with solution architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to define technical requirements and solution designs
• Ensure API security through OAuth2, JWT, encryption, threat protection, and enterprise security standards
• Establish API lifecycle management, versioning, documentation, and governance processes
• Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to development teams
• Support CICD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployment strategies
• Monitor API performance, reliability, and scalability and drive continuous optimization
• Troubleshoot complex integration and production issues

Required Skill Set:

• Seeking an experienced API Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale APIs and integration solutions.
• This role will provide technical leadership in building cloud-native, event-driven architectures using Spring Boot, Java, AWS, EKS, TSB, Kafka, and Apigee, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations across the enterprise.

Salary Range: CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
