Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a Solution Design Engineer to design, develop, deploy and implement the CDC solution for real-time data replication, APIs, and automation. You will collaborate with global business delivery teams and engineers across platforms to drive governance and standardization.

You’ll lead CI/CD, performance testing and capacity planning while mentoring teammates and delivering scalable solutions that align with Sun Life’s digital ambitions and hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience with programming in Java.
• Work experience in DevOps, Kubernetes and AWS Cloud.
• Understanding of APIs, Event Driven Solutions, DevOps, containers, Kubernetes and cloud.
• Self starter with tenacious inquisitiveness and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, deployment and rollout of API Platform enhancements (cloud and on-prem).
• Design delivery solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Implement automation features for efficiency and reliability.
• Consult on REST API standards with business delivery teams.
