Job summary

Applied Pharmaceutical Innovation (API) is seeking a Production Operator to perform manufacturing activities for active pharmaceutical ingredient production on site in Edmonton. The role follows approved batch records, SOPs, and cGMP requirements to ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will handle weighing, solution prep, reaction processing, filtration, drying, and packaging, while maintaining clean production areas and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a regulated pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with cGMP, SOPs, and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing operations per approved batch records and SOPs.
• Operate, monitor and clean API production equipment (reactors, dryers, mixers, filtration).
• Perform chemical charging, weighing, solution preparation, reaction processing, filtration, drying, milling and packaging.
• Verify materials, intermediates, solvents, labels, quantities, and equipment status before use.
• Monitor critical process parameters (temperature, pressure, pH, etc.) and report abnormalities.
• Collect in-process samples and coordinate submission to Quality Control.
• Complete batch records and other controlled documentation in real time.
• Maintain clean and compliant production areas and assist with line clearance and material reconciliation.
