Job summary

Dynamic Source Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an Inspector to join the manufacturing team. You will inspect electronic components and assemblies, ensuring workmanship and safety standards are met visually and through AOI processes.

Responsibilities include communicating issues, tracking data, and supporting operators to prevent future concerns. Fluency with AOI equipment and a comfort with electronics manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Familiarity and/or eagerness working in an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to learn the operation of equipment including AOI.
• Previous experience operating machines would be an asset.
• Computer skills – basic tasks on a computer.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Detail oriented with initiative to improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure IPC standards compliance via visual inspection and AOI.
• Provide feedback on concerns to operators and group leaders.
• Communicate clearly to resolve issues and document data.
• Track data to document common faults.
• Operate and assist with press-fit, depanelizer and X-ray equipment as needed.
• Support operators and inspectors to prevent future concerns.
• Adhere to escalation processes in production.
• Monitor First Pass Yield and assist with program adjustments.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a member of the Manufacturing Team, you will be responsible for inspecting electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems and ensuring compliance to required workmanship and safety standards both visually, and through the Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) process. You will highlight errors, faults, and/or causes for urgency and elevate the issue where necessary to the Machine Operator and/or Group Leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure compliance to IPC Standards and specifications though visual confirmation via AOI equipment
• Feedback concerns, discrepancies, and data to Machine Operators and Group Leaders
• Fluid, prompt communication with all associates in terms of solutions to concerns
• Data tracking/collection to ensure common faults are documented appropriately
• Operate press-fit, depanelizer and X-ray equipment and perform final inspection when required
• Provide proactive support to Operators/Inspectors to correct/predict/avoid future concerns
• Strict adherence to escalation processes within production
• Monitor real-time First Pass Yield to trigger program adjustment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity and/or eagerness working in an electronics manufacturing environment
• Willingness to learn the operation of various equipment including AOI
• Previous experience operating machines would be an asset
• Computer skills – comfortable and able to navigate a computer doing basic tasks
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Proficient working independently and/or part of a team
• Detail oriented and possess a strong initiative to improve processes and improve quality
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
• Strong ability to prioritize and plan work activities, using time efficiently
• Previous quality and/or inspection experience would be an asset
• Availability for rotating shift work (days, afternoons, midnights)
• Availability for occasional overtime (evenings and weekends)
