Job summary

The University of Saskatchewan's School for the Arts is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the Fall 2026 term. You will lead technical tutorials and workshops, oversee groups creating an analogue, hand-drawn animation, and supervise in-lab work sessions using Premiere Pro and After Effects.

You will assist in grading analogue and digital projects, set up DSLR animation stations, and report to Lisa Birke. The position is on campus (Murray 192.2) with 104 hours across the term.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an MFA in Studio Arts with TA experience in Digital & Integrated Practice.
• Experience in both digital and analogue animation is required.
• Must be registered in a graduate program.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical tutorials/workshops, overseeing student groups in analogue hand-drawn animation and supervision of lab work sessions using Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Assist in grading analogue and digital animation projects.
