This position is available immediately for the right candidate who has Royal College Canada certification and eligible for license with College of Physician Surgeons Nova Scotia. The successful applicant will be part of a team of 7 Anesthesiologists serving the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and the surrounding communities with a catchment area of over 150,000.

Responsibilities

• Duties include full scope of practice as an anesthesiologist providing care to patients within the Eastern Zone and participating in call.
• The physician will be responsible to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
• Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
• Opportunity to offer services in the Pain Clinic if desired

Remuneration

• Estimated annual salary $525-550,000 CAD
• Fee for Service (Pain Clinic services are paid at a sessional rate)
