Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney, Nova Scotia seeks a locum Anesthesiologist for Fall and January coverage. The role requires Royal College Canada certification and eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons Nova Scotia.

You will join a seven-physician team serving the Cape Breton region with a 150,000+ catchment area. There are opportunities to engage in research or medical teaching with Dalhousie University, should that be of interest.

Qualifications

• Eligible for full license with College of Physicians and Surgeons Nova Scotia
• Locum coverage for Fall (Sept/Oct) and January/early winter

Responsibilities

• Duties include full scope of practice as an anesthesiologist for patients in the Eastern Zone and participation in on-call duties
• Will report to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia and follow Nova Scotia Health Authority bylaws
• Engage in potential research or teaching opportunities with Dalhousie University during the assignment

Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH), located in Sydney, Nova Scotia, is seeking an Anesthesiologist to provide locum coverage this Fall (September and October) and January, for early winter. This locum position is available immediately for the right candidate who has Royal College Canada certification and eligible for full-license with College of Physician Surgeons Nova Scotia. The successful applicant will be part of a team of 7 Anesthesiologist serving the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and the surrounding communities with a catchment area of over 150,000.

There is opportunity to engage in research and/or have medical teaching positions with Dalhousie University, should that be of interest.

Cape Breton Regional Hospital is a 250-bed tertiary care institution that provides a broad range of medical care to patients in the Eastern Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. The Anesthesiology service at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital is equipped to provide a full range of specialised care.

• Duties include full scope of practice as an anesthesiologist providing care to patients within the Eastern Zone and participating in call
• The physician will be responsible to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
