Job summary

Cymax Group Technologies is building out its Analytics & Insights function in Vancouver. We’re seeking an Analytics Engineer who thrives at the intersection of raw data and analytical models, to design and implement pipelines that turn complex sources into clean, trustworthy datasets.

You’ll work with the Director of Analytics and Insights, shaping the data foundation on Databricks with a medallion architecture, SQL, Python, and modern AI tooling to enable reporting, BI, and machine-learning

Qualifications

• Hands-on analytics or data engineering with data modeling and pipelines.
• Experience building data models and data warehouses for analytics.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation and validation.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Delta Lake, and medallion architecture.
• Experience enabling BI reporting (Power BI) and semantic layers.

Responsibilities

• Audit current warehouse and design migration plan.
• Build out the lakehouse with bronze/silver/gold layers on Databricks.
• Model intuitive, reliable data structures for reporting.
• Develop and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines using SQL and Python/PySpark.
