Job Summary / Résumé des fonctions

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting & FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in partnering with our business leads. The main areas of responsibility include financial planning, forecast activities for our Head Office functional teams, annual budgeting, long-range planning, developing/publishing management reporting, and special projects.

Specific Responsibilities / Responsabilités spécifiques
  • Partner with Canada Head Office functional teams to develop annual expense budgets and long-range plans
  • Perform monthly close duties: month-end close review and analyses, and monthly forecast submission
  • Ensure completeness and validation of data in our various financial systems (SAP vs. BPC vs FCCS)
  • Prepare executive level summaries and presentations to explain monthly results using both established and ad hoc reports
  • Review key expense variances and impact on future months results to ensure accurate forecasting
  • Create and support managing large amounts of data with efforts to improve reporting
  • Provide guidance to functional leaders to allow them to achieve both business and spending goals
  • Identify opportunities to share best practices and standardize reporting across the department
  • Perform other ad hoc analysis, as needed
Job Requirements / Exigences du poste
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA/CA, CPA/CGA, CPA/CMA) (asset)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, planning and analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel (Power BI, Power Query)
  • Knowledge of SAP, FCCS and BPC systems (asset)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • A sense of urgency and respect for deadlines
  • Adept at managing change and working as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Bilingual (French and English)

Note: The role requires supporting internal and external clients outside Quebec and/or the US, thus proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
