Job summary

Hypertec Group is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Consolidation & Reporting to join the Finance & Accounting team in Montreal, Quebec. You will consolidate monthly results, perform analyses for internal and external reporting, and build financial models to support close, consolidation, and budgeting processes.

The ideal candidate has a CPA asset, 4+ years in consolidation/analysis, and strong Excel proficiency, with experience in Vena/Adaptive Insights and Power BI being a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA designation is an asset.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis.
• Expertise in multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze complex data sets.
• Experience with financial reporting/consolidation systems (Vena, Adaptive Insights) is an asset.
• Knowledge of ERP systems; SAP Business One is an asset.
• Experience with Power BI is an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate monthly financial results for Hypertec Group entities, incl. currency translation and intercompany eliminations.
• Perform analyses for MD&A, quarterly stakeholder reports, variances, trends, and performance.
• Develop and maintain financial models/templates to support month-end close, consolidation, and budgeting.
• Extract and transform data to generate insights for decision-making.
• Support external audit process with financial statements and documentation.
• Identify process improvements to streamline reporting via automation and system optimization.
• Participate in ad hoc projects aligned with business objectives.

What You’ll Be Contributing:

• Consolidate monthly financial results of Hypertec Group entities, including foreign currency translation and intercompany eliminations
• Conduct comprehensive financial analyses for internal and external reporting (MD&A, quarterly stakeholder reports), including variance, trend, and performance analyses
• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models and templates using Vena Solutions and other tools to support month-end close, consolidation, and budgeting processes
• Extract, transform, and interpret financial data to generate meaningful insights that support decision‑making
• Support the external audit process, including preparing annual financial statements and required supporting documentation
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting and enhance efficiency through automation and system optimization
• Participate in ad hoc projects and analyses to support business objectives

What Sets You Apart:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA designation an asset
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis
• Expertise in financial consolidation in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze complex data sets
• Experience with financial reporting and consolidation systems (e.g., Vena, Adaptive Insights) an asset
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems; experience with SAP Business One an asset
