Hypertec, a global technology company, seeks a Project Manager to join its Project Management Office in Montreal. The role focuses on business analysis, project planning, and stakeholder coordination to deliver complex initiatives.

The successful candidate will bring 5+ years in PM/BA, strong requirements gathering, risk and change management, and excellent communication. Hybrid work options and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management and/or business analysis.
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in technology, business or a related discipline.
• Experience gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements.
• Advanced familiarity with risks, issues, schedule, scope, resources, budget, quality, changes, dependencies and actions in projects.
• Strong organizational, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to advocate for a solution using critical thinking.
• Experience working with internal and external technology or engineering to assess and implement complex systems/solutions.
• Experience using project management and business analysis collaboration tools.
• Ability to author project documentation: process diagrams, use cases, BRDs, cost-benefit analyses, SOPs, project intake, SOW, UAT artefacts.

Responsibilities

• Perform business analysis functions of corporate processes and systems to identify solutions or opportunities for improvements.
• Moderate and lead project meetings, capture records, and follow up on key actions through initiation, planning, execution, and close-out.
• Track project progress and drive the critical path; communicate status and escalations to stakeholders.
• Manage project scope during execution; assess and approve changes before baselining.
• Coordinate communications between project resources and stakeholders with business units and external groups.
• Lead projects by tailoring the delivery methodology based on PM and BA skills.
• Ensure gates or milestones meet acceptance criteria and deliverables meet requirements.

What You’ll Be Contributing:

• Perform business analysis functions of corporate processes and systems to identify solutions or opportunities for application or process improvements;
• Moderate and lead project working and status meetings, ensuring capture of meeting records, and follow-up on key actions as necessary through project initiation, planning, and execution to close-out;
• Track project progress and drive the critical path, providing timely communication amongst key stakeholders on status and escalations leveraging the project tracking tools;
• Manage the approved project scope during the project execution, ensuring changes requested by stakeholders are identified, assessed and approved prior to their inclusion in the project baseline;
• Act as a liaison to coordinate and facilitate communications between project resources and stakeholders through collaboration with business units, corporate services groups, and external stakeholders;
• Draw on project management and business analysis skills to lead projects of all types successfully by tailoring the delivery methodology;
• Ensure project gates or milestones meet the required acceptance or approval criteria, project deliverables are completed as per the requirements;

What Sets You Apart:

• 5+ years of experience within project management and/or business analysis roles, demonstrating a progressive increase in responsibilities throughout the candidate’s tenure;
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in technology, business or a related discipline;
• Experience gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements;
• Advanced familiarity with the management of risks, issues, schedule, scope, resources, budget, quality, changes, dependencies and actions associated with projects;
• Strong organizational, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to express concepts learned from others in a concise and organized manner.;
• The ability to advocate for a solution using critical thinking to understand the broader impact of challenges and risks and determine options to mitigate them;
• Experience working with internal and external technology or engineering to assess and implement complex systems/solutions;
• Direct experience using project management and business analysis collaborative tools;
• The ability to author project documentation, including:
  • Process / business flow diagrams;
  • Use cases;
  • Business requirement documents;
  • Business case / cost-benefit analyses;
  • Standard operating procedure / work instructions;
  • Project Intake documents;
  • Statement of work documents;
  • User Acceptance Test artefacts.
