Schedule: 35 hours/week

Compensation: 62,900 $ - 94,300 $ CAD. This position is eligible for a discretionary variable bonus based on company and individual performance. Job Description: The Analytics and Modeling team at TD Assurance provides strategic insights through advanced analysis techniques, including machine learning and AI models. Responsibilities include analyzing claims payments, customer and advisor behaviors, product design, and developing and maintaining risk models.

The Underwriting Analytics team is a multidisciplinary group focused on developing and maintaining underwriting rules, collaborating with underwriters and other departments to refine risk management models and rules.

Main Tasks:

  • Use advanced modeling techniques to refine segmentation and underwriting rules for auto and home insurance across Canada.
  • Transform complex data into actionable insights to improve risk understanding and profitability.
  • Conduct and present underwriting analyses to support growth and profitability goals.
  • Develop and update tools to monitor portfolio evolution.
  • Collaborate across departments such as underwriting, pricing, product, risk management, and customer service.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics.
  • At least 3 CAS exams.
  • Minimum 3 years in property and casualty insurance.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Adaptability to changing situations.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, VBA, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills in French and English (preferred).
