This role is responsible for selling services offered by Loblaw Transportation, expanding current programs and growing new opportunities. This role will use analytical tools to ensure profitability targets are met, while assisting in the coordination of program setups.

What You’ll Do:

  • Sell complete Loblaw Transportation service offerings, developing both new vendor relationships and extend existing relationships to new opportunities
  • Review Loblaw order history for the vendor program, vendor freight rates, carrier capacity and market carrier rate
  • Prepare vendor rate packages and review existing vendor freight rates to ensure rate accuracy
  • New program setup support, coordinating various system setup components and facilitating lane requirements with Transportation Operations to ensure smooth transitions and customer service targets are achieved
  • Ensure expected margin profitability is achieved
  • Review daily and weekly freight revenue exception reports for received order with less than planned revenue and investigate root cause issues in SAP and TMS
  • Using various analytical tools-identify, quantify and perform root cause analysis on inbound vendor freight opportunities

What You’ll Need:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a supply chain or retail organization
  • Exceptional negotiating and communication skills, financial understanding and knowledge/background in transportation industries
  • Experience selling truckload and less than truckload services in the transportation sector; proven track record of sales success
  • Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management and/or business
  • Professional attitude and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic and excels in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Analytical skills, and well versed in MS office and other systems
