Job description

Hiive is redefining how private companies and their shareholders access liquidity. Through its institutional-grade platform, Hiive brings together buyers, sellers, and issuers to facilitate secondary transactions in venture-backed, pre-IPO companies, introducing efficiency, transparency, and standardization to an otherwise opaque asset class.

Recognized as one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies and backed by leading U.S. investors, Hiive is profitable, well-capitalized, and building a high-performance team to meet growing demand and pursue new market opportunities.

As an Analyst, Transaction Services, you will be a foundational part of our Transaction Services team. You will run transactions from handshake to closing, provide exceptional support to the investors, sellers, legal counsel, and companies that we work with, and help Hiive’s clients unlock the value of the private market.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:
  • You will manage Hiive’s transaction services initiatives and processes, working closely with investors, sellers, legal counsel, and issuers to deliver exceptional client service and achieve outstanding outcomes.

  • You will be responsible for maintaining communication templates to support transaction services, customers, processes, and products.

  • Assist in ongoing management of fund investments including support for investor relations, audit, tax, and accounting.

  • Compile documents and signature packages and obtain signatures as part of transaction closings.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage and execute complex transactions and drive deals to closing.

  • Liaise with parties to provide updates and troubleshoot issues.

  • Work within Hiive’s platform and other information systems to organize, record, and track important information.

  • Work with the compliance team to support KYC, AML, and other compliance and regulatory objectives.

  • Work with Finance to ensure the ongoing integrity of our revenue pipeline and the seamless settlement of transactions.

  • Support the management team in developing and implementing new processes and ways of working, while providing subject-matter expertise to our Product team in the ongoing development of the Hiive platform.

Required Experience:
  • 0-4 years of experience working in any fast-paced corporate setting. Ideally, in a finance, tech, legal, or investment services setting.

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant area, ideally in commerce/business, law, accounting, or economics, with a strong academic record.

  • Experience in a client-facing role.

  • Excellent attention to detail, resourcefulness, and speed of execution.

  • Strong multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to communicate priorities and deadlines with internal and external stakeholders and build constructive high-trust relationships across teams and functions.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in transactional work with high volumes of transaction documents, such as M&A, capital markets, investments, or corporate finance.

  • Experience with Private Equity or Venture Capital fund investments.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:
  • Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience and contribution.

  • Opportunity to participate in ownership of a rapidly growing company through our employee stock option plan.

  • Comprehensive 100% employer-paid health & dental premiums and a Health/Personal Spending Account for Canadian employees. (An employer-subsidized benefits program is available for US-based team members).

  • If you are based in Vancouver, enjoy a dedicated desk in our Vancouver, BC HQ, in the heart of downtown, with a fridge stocked with healthy snacks and drinks, an onsite gym, and a gorgeous rooftop amenity.

  • Enjoy a $20-per-day commuter benefit for every day you work in our Vancouver HQ.

  • An engaging social calendar, including bi-weekly catered lunches, bi-weekly “Friday bar,” team workouts, annual summer party, and holiday party, two “onsite” all-team retreats each year, semi-annual team-building events, and Hiive Women’s Network events.

  • Significant opportunities for growth into team leadership and management roles.

  • Entrepreneurial culture and a small and dynamic team.

  • Sponsorship, immigration, and relocation for exceptional candidates.
