Colonial Group in Vaughan, Canada is seeking an Analyst, Total Rewards to support compensation programs and reporting. You will analyze market data, perform pay equity work, and contribute to annual merit and incentive cycles.

You will collaborate with Finance and HR teams to ensure accuracy of headcount and budget data, maintain dashboards, and drive process improvements while upholding data confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years combined experience in compensation, job evaluation, merit and incentive cycles and headcount planning.
  • Experience in position management, headcount planning, and labour budgets, with collaboration across Finance and other stakeholders.
  • Exposure to a unionized utility environment is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

The Analyst, Total Rewards supports the administration and analysis of compensation programs to ensure they are competitive, equitable, consistent, and aligned with business objectives. The role plays a key part in the annual merit and incentive processes, job evaluation, salary recommendations, position management in HR system. In addition, the role supports headcount reporting and labour budget data files ensuring accuracy of the workforce data as well pay equity analysis and various compensation metrics.

The Analyst, Total Rewards conducts detailed compensation analysis, develops data-driven insights and recommendations, and maintains dashboards and reporting to support informed decision-making by Human Resources and business leaders.

What you’ll do
Total Rewards Program Support
  • Supports the delivery of Total Rewards programs including but not limited to salary administration, job evaluation, annual merit, annual incentive plan and surveys.
  • Conduct market research and pay equity analysis to support the evolution of compensation strategies.
  • Prepares salary recommendations/adjustments and various compensation related requests.
  • Analyze internal pay equity and identify any salary compression instances as well as prepare Pay Equity maintenance files in accordance to established timelines.

  • Provide guidance and advisory support to business partners on Total Rewards programs.
Position Management & Reporting
  • Completes audits of HRMS data and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and completeness for key projects/reporting.
  • Assists in the labour budget, headcount and position reporting process that includes maintenance, reconciliation, and management of the position control framework in HRMS.
  • Support in the design and development of various reports including dashboards, key performance indicators and various other Total Rewards metrics.
  • Supports the creation of FTE and headcount reporting for rate applications and other related applications to the Ontario Energy Board (“OEB”).
Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes for enhanced efficiency.
  • Collaborate with external service providers on program administration and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and health & safety standards.
  • Provide backup support for benefits administration as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Finalize and maintain job descriptions resulting from the Job Evaluation process, ensuring current and accurate documentation.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Who you are
Education & Technical Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Working towards or completion of CCP or CHRL designation is preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years combined experience in compensation, job evaluation, merit and incentive cycles and headcount planning.
  • Experience in position management, headcount planning, and labour budgets, with collaboration across Finance and other stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience using Power BI, Access and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and interpret costing models, workforce metrics, and planning tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
